As many of you know I have been on a quest to study and learn more about my craft...
designing, line, form etc... and COLOR!
 
 
The color part has been frustrating, all the DVD's I get have shown the same types of things... Color Wheel Value Scale...
and rows and rows of painted chips of color...
 
 
Okay... Okay...
NOW WHAT! I mean come on... what good does it do to know yellow and Red make Orange.. .. I learned that in kindergarten!
I needed Application of Knowledge... show me WHY these things matter... 
 
So I looked for a Teacher who was very comfortable in her skin with Color... and had an Easy teaching style... and could put up with my excited questions (LoL)

 

 

I found  fellow friend and CDA, Jill Paris Rody CDA, and we put together a DVD on Color in which I am the student asking all the questions I have been dying to know the answers to on this journey and Jill answers them...  What fun!
 
 
The questions were not rehearsed... Jill took 'em as I shot them...  This was a great DVD to edit because it is very spontaneous and we actually work through the stuff on Camera... no secrets here... Then Jill culminates with a project using the info in the DVD... a little theory and little practice and then... PRESTO - Application!

    This is the most straight forward color mixing method that I have seen. The information is easy to follow and understand and using the plastic over the desired color was brilliant. Thank you Jill for solving some of the mysterys of color mixing for me. Patty was asking the questions that I wanted to ask.
